“Remember, remember, the Fifth of November, the Gunpowder Treason and the Plot. I know of no reason why the Gunpowder Treason should ever be forgot. What of the man?”

A freedom fighter plots to overthrow the tyranny of Great Britain.

This is one of my favorite comic book movies of all time for how realistic this world could turn into. People criticizing other people’s sexuality or political views.  I’m not a fan of politics but this movie always entertains me all the way through. It’s not all about politics, there’s tons of great action scenes and so many brilliant characters. Natalie Portman is perfect for this movie. I can’t see any other actress that could play Evey better than her. She’s not a woman that is there just to have a female cast. She’s an important character that experiences the worst of this horrible city and tries her best to stay alive. Hugo Weaving as V is just the icing on the cake. V is an unstoppable force that has a agenda to stop the evil in Britain. His reason is something everybody can get behind. He’s not doing this cause he’s a psychopath. He’s doing this cause nobody else will. V doesn’t really have super powers like other heroes. He tosses knives and never misses his target but that’s about it. He’s more about time and planning.  The future of Great Britain looks very dark and a place nobody wants to live in. No matter how sneaky people talk bad about their government, they get taken away to prison. I highly recommend this to everyone. Even if you don’t like comic book based films. It’s a very eye opening film that makes you wonder how the future of the world will be like.
